As ACG looked to strengthen its voice as the thought leader in the middle-market dealmaking community, it was decided to launch its own official publication, Middle Market Growth, in 2013. I acted as creative director of the magazine, working with an external team specializing in digital publications, to guide design of the magazine from the beginning, and then advising determine art direction on each issue.
The decision was made in 2015 to transition the magazine to print. Research data from reader surveys showed that our audience, along with advertisers still valued a physical piece. And in 2018, we decided to bring the production of the magazine full in-house. I managed a designer, providing creative direction on each issue.
The need for content was strong, so Middle Market Growth expanded its reach with a website, populated by more timely content, and a newsletter that rounded up top stories of the week.
